2010 was The Open Door Centre's 25th Anniversary and we held a number of fundraising events, raising money to achieve our long-term goal of purchasing our own premises. This would enable us to be self-supporting in many ways; for example, we could have the opportunity to cover ongoing costs through a semi-commercial activity. We could also work with members to develop life skills, such as cleaning and cooking, preparing for an independent life.
